A new high-speed door has been installed by Enerco in the Safari Cave attraction at Chessington World of Adventures theme park.

The new door had a very specific brief. Provide complete darkness within the cave to enable a spectacular lightshow and then open quickly once the show is complete to allow the safari vehicles to exit safely and quickly.

As you will see from the before picture, this is not your typical door opening. A special frame was engineered and fabricated to provide a structure for us to fix too. This was then cladded to ensure no light can get through to spoil the effect of the attraction. On top of this, we had to work with the client to ensure the floor was grounded out level ready for our door to seal against.

As always, safety comes first and with full opening safeties, this high-speed door ensures the people of the public can feel comfortable whilst enjoying this great attraction.

This is the second door on the same cave Enerco have installed to further enhance the public experience at this theme park, once again showing that for any high-speed door requirements, Enerco is the place to go. The entirety of this project was designed, installed and commissioned by Enerco Doors and has provided Chessington with the Safari Cave they were looking for.
